We are excited to Introduce Dylan Curtis, our new Architectural Technician! A Brandon, Mississippi native, Dylan recently graduated from Hinds Community College with a Technical Degree in Engineering Drafting & Design, as well as an Associate’s in Applied Science. He also brings with him 9 years of experience. His passion for architecture began in childhood, where he developed an early fascination with the field. Growing up, he was immersed in the world of construction through his family, even designing tree house plans for his father to build. Outside of work, Dylan loves spending time with friends and family, and enjoys playing with his dogs, Woody and Sadie. We’re thrilled to have him join the CCD team and look forward to supporting his growth and development in the industry

“Jared Pierce and Kirk Oldenburg presented to visiting students from Bridgwater and Taunton College in England (yes, the United Kingdom England!). The presentation focused on the process of a typical CCD project, specifically focusing on the B.B. King Museum in Indianola, MS which the students would later visit as part of their U.S. itinerary. The B.B. King Museum, which won an AIA Mississippi Honor Award, was a great introduction to working with a unique program, renovation of an existing (and historic) structure, and a new construction addition. CCD was also honored to return to the museum site and design the memorial garden where B.B. King is laid to rest. Following the presentation, the students got to tour CCD’s office and learn more about how the firm operated. They especially liked learning the history of the CCD building renovation and the rooftop deck drew lots of photos! The visit closed after a short walk to Hal & Mal’s where the students enjoyed gumbo and fried catfish po-boys.”
Canizaro Cawthon Davis has donated our founding firms’ architectural papers to Mississippi State University.
CCD was honored to be part of transforming an existing movie theater into Pinelake Church’s new Clinton Campus.
