Bayou Academy’s renovation was recently awarded an Honor Citation by the Mississippi Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The Honor Citation is “awarded to projects worthy of recognition because of design quality.” Jurors commented that “small gestures have made an enormous impact, transforming a tired industrial building into a composition of well-crafted materials that give elegance to the building entry.” CCD is happy to have been a part of this transformation and we look forward to working with Bayou Academy to realize future phases of the school’s master plan.
