Entergy retained three firms, including Canizaro Cawthon Davis, to create a vision plan for a portion of Jackson’s central business district. We created a development concept attractive to businesses, cultural institutions and developers. The project included eight blocks of underused brownfield property, most of which is owned by Entergy and the State of Mississippi. The project is designed to create a vibrant mixed use district as a new front door for Jackson. It includes 500,000 SF of housing, 450,000 SF of office space, 134,000 SF of retail, and 80,000 SF of entertainment venues. The concept creates a pedestrian friendly urban area with 4.3 acres of green space.
The project design team included Canizaro Cawthon Davis, JBHM, and Dale and Associates.
