CANIZARO CAWTHON DAVIS produced the master plan and designed the exterior and interior renovations, both of which had strict energy reduction goals. The Master Plan is a 5-phase plan to expand and eventually replace the existing airport terminal facility with a much larger, more efficient terminal building that will incorporate new and evolving changes to airport security and operations. The projected end date for the airport Master Plan is 2030, but is more dependent on the rate of growth of air travel than any fixed date in the future. The Master Plan anticipates incremental expansion as demand increases and allows for operational and security changes within an ordered progression toward full build-out.
