The Fondren Village renovation draws inspiration from the 1950s era, particularly the service station that once housed the Everyday Gardener. The design pays homage to this period with the new sign emerging as a prominent landmark in the retail and restaurant development. Existing structures were carefully renovated to create a cohesive center, embracing the fifties theme. Public walk areas were thoughtfully enhanced with planters, benches, and trash receptacles chosen to reflect the fifties aesthetic. A neon band runs the length of the center, accentuating columns and tenant signage. Adopting tenant signage standards further contributes to a unified and cohesive image for the center. The Fondren Village renovation not only revitalized the area but also ignited growth and rejuvenation in the historic Fondren District.
