Canizaro Cawthon Davis was challenged by Entergy, an electric public utility company, to produce a Class A, highly flexible, sustainable office environment for the Transmission division. Located in Jackson, Mississippi, the 80,000 SF building incorporates modular design to shorten construction time and allow future flexibility. The exterior window wall bypasses the floor slabs and is designed around Entergy’s corporate office standards. A raised floor allows easy reconfiguration of power, technology, and communication systems. High performance glass reduces solar gain. Long span beams eliminate interior columns, meaning the owner’s modular furniture can be easily placed.
The project has achieved Green Globe certification through the Green Building Initiative.
