Fondren Place revitalizes an underused corner of the vibrant Fondren Historic District. The historic Duling School is located in the heart of the district. Both the building and grounds were being lightly used. Canizaro Cawthon Davis master planned the property, adding new multi-use buildings to the grounds and proposing new uses for the existing school.
Fondren Place is a 3 story, 40,000 SF building. It contains retail and office tenants. The architecture of Fondren Place recalls the historic buildings of the district.
The Lorena Duling School is a Mississippi Landmark, originally built in 1927 to serve as a public school. The building is renovated for retail use. The building serves as a focal point of Fondren Place.
Canizaro Cawthon Davis, in association with Cohen Carnaggio Reynolds, is responsible for master planning, design and construction administration of this project.
